Aliwan Fiesta is Manila’s festival of champions. Held every April since 2003 along the CCP Complex grounds in Pasay, it brings the grand winning contingents of the Philippines’ regional festivals — Sinulog, Dinagyang, Panagbenga, Kadayawan and more — to a single stage to compete in street dancing, float parade and the Reyna ng Aliwan pageant.
For anyone who cannot travel to every fiesta in the country, Aliwan is the shortcut: in one weekend you see the champion tribes, costumes and floats of festivals from across the archipelago, each troupe performing the routine that won its home festival.
Aliwan Fiesta in photos, 2010–2013
This gallery gathers my Aliwan coverage from 2010 to 2013 — including the 2013 fiesta, whose post carries the longest story in my archive. Click any photo to open the original post.

Many of the contingents on this page have their own galleries here — Cebu’s Sinulog, Iloilo’s Dinagyang and Bacolod’s MassKara.
